But as all material used in saddlery products, even hardware like your spurs will wear out from use, dirt and dust. They need to be cleaned after every use.  Rowels can wear and break.

Make sure to properly fit your spurs , as an ill-fitting product can cause discomfort, soreness and even injury to the horse. Make sure you use the correct size and attach your product correctly. When in doubt, ask a professional for assistance.

Please make sure to inspect your spurs before each use; a small issue left unnoticed could escalate into a dangerous situation while riding !
