As all materials used in saddlery products (leather, wool, fleece, nylon, poly web, cotton etc.) are perishable, they will wear out.

Therefor it is vital to properly check, clean, use and maintain your pad.

Make sure to properly fit your pad, as an ill-fitting pad can cause discomfort, soreness and even injury to the horse. Make sure you use the correct size and apply your pad correctly. When in doubt, ask a professional for assistance.
