The pro-roller correctional mouthpiece signals the bars and the palate and conforms to the horse's 
mouth. The copper barrels on the mouthpiece induce more saliva and prevent the horse from actually taking the bit and blocking it fixed in it's mouth.
The barrels are straight, so they are carried balanced in the horse's mouth and do not slide from one way to the other as you would have with bevelled barrels.
